This is a FREE service for people who have lost a pet, or found one. If you have lost a dog, cat or other pet, we can help by giving you an additional resource for letting people know you have lost your pet or that you have found someone's pet.

You can have your pet's information posted here for others to see, or you can post information on any pet you have found in an attempt to find the owner. Email us information on a lost or found dog, lost or found cat or other domesticated pet. Although this site is "MD Lost Pets", anyone may submit a lost or found pet.

(That's the beauty of the Internet.)

ATTENTION : When requesting that information, such as an email address, be posted on this or any website, realize that their are deceitful people out there who may use your email address to contact you or SPAM you. Please use an email address that you do not use for personal or work related use on a daily basis. You can create a free email account through hotmail or yahoo for your posting. It does not take much time. Please be careful or wary of anyone who contacts you and says they found your pet, or the pet you found is theirs. If they do not give details about the pet, or speak of cash rewards, this should be a red flag. Please be careful who you respond to. If the person is unwilling to meet you in a very public place with your pet or unwilling to turn it over to a shelter so you can claim it, you are probably being fooled. This site cannot be responsible for any information you post or contacts you receive. PLEASE be careful. It is a shame that people would try to take advantage of someone who is looking for a lost pet, but it is reality.

Please include as much information as possible, and include any info you want posted. At the very least, we need the following information:

Is Pet Lost by you (owner) or Found by you?
Where was pet found, and where is pet now? (City & State)
Name of Pet (if found, name if available from collar or other information).
Description (picture(s) would be most useful). Simply attach to email.
How can owner or party who found pet be contacted (phone#, email address, etc.)
Any other information you may find useful may be added.

We will email you when your request is posted. We WILL post your email address or name unless you specifically ask us not to post it. Pleas provide information you WANT posted, BUT let us know if you DO NOT want something posted. However, please remember that the more information you provide, the better chance you have to be reunited with your pet or find the pet's owner.

We will keep your info posted as long as possible. All we ask is that you notify us if you find your pet, or find the owner of a found pet, so we can remove the listing. If server space becomes an issue, we will do our best to get more. If we get more and it is still an issue, we will delete listings starting with the oldest listings. We will not, however, delete listings that are not at least 6 months old. We will make every effort to keep all listings, but can become an issue the more listings we get. This is why it is very important to notify us if we can remove your posting for any reason.
